2013 Fantasy Football Rankings: Rookies

Because you’re obviously an avid fantasy footballer, you may know that FootballGuys has gone live for the 2013 season (with a great new layout, by the way).  Therefore, I had to spend last weekend refining my rankings for rookies, QBs, RB, WRs, TEs, Ks, and DSTs.  Throughout the week, I’ll be releasing each position, along with a look at my overall Top 100.

Before we get to the full depth of the player pool, let’s take a look at this year’s rookie class now that we know the teams for which they’ll be playing.  I’ll include a blurb from their rookie scouting report on CBSSports.com’s NFL Draft Tracker.

Rankings, rankings, rankings!

Five Super Bowl Storylines Not Being Discussed Enough

As a member of the “media” (and I use that term as loosely as it can possibly be used), I have to be aware of off-the-field stories as much as on-the-field stories.  It’s why I had a “storylines” section in each of my round-by-round playoff previews.  I feel that as a “media” member, it’s my responsibility to share with you everything about the big game – not just the same old tired items that the mainstream is delivering.  So without further ado, here is a countdown of the five stories that you need to know – in order of just how deep you’ll have to dig to gain any information on them:

AFC Championship – Didn’t We Do This Last Year?

In case you missed it last week (AFC – NFC),I had a pretty nice go of it in my game predictions. It was painful to pick Baltimore to win, but I felt that they would. It wasn’t at all compelling that Atlanta beat Seattle, but they did so by two points – the exact difference I predicted. The games may have played out differently than I predicted (Baltimore getting dominated on Special Teams but dominating the other phases was the opposite of what I said would happen), but all in all, we were 3-1 against the point spread including a Baltimore outright win and the only loss being Houston by one point. So let’s go ahead and keep the same format for this week.

NFL Divisional Playoffs: AFC – Where the World Gets Shocked

You saw the NFC earlier today. Here’s the AFC.

This particular return caused me great emotional pain

Baltimore at Denver
DVOA Ranks (Offense / Defense / Special Teams)
Baltimore – 14 / 18 / 1
Denver – 3 / 2 / 16

Lopsided when either QB is on the field, but the most underrated part of football leans in Baltimore’s favor.
