footballandBRACKET-ology – January 30

Since you can go pretty much anywhere on the internet and find a different version of Bracketology (there’s even a matrix with 60+ brackets), I decided it was my responsibility as a college hoops blogger to initiate one of my own.  Below you’ll find a link to a pdf file that has my bracket within and also the breakdown of where each team is slotted.  For those unable to view such a link, I’ve also included screengrabs that can be enlarged by clicking on them.

Bracketology awaits!

Comas and Kyle CBS Radio Interview – 1/29/13

Earlier today, I went on 810am Orlando CBS Radio and discussed college hoops.  Among the topics were the “State” of Florida basketball (see what we did there), the Bubble, and my favorites for the National Championship.  I come on around the 0:50 mark after a very nice intro from Tony Comas.

Where is your favorite team going to end up seeded in the NCAA Tournament? Bill Riccette and I will do our best to tell you in the latest installment of this ongoing series.  The basic concept is similar to any Bracketology articles you may come across.  However, we are only covering the top six lines.  And the biggest difference is that we are predicting what will happen – not creating an “if the season ended today” bracket. You can find Bill’s work at Bleacher Report right here.

Five Super Bowl Storylines Not Being Discussed Enough

As a member of the “media” (and I use that term as loosely as it can possibly be used), I have to be aware of off-the-field stories as much as on-the-field stories.  It’s why I had a “storylines” section in each of my round-by-round playoff previews.  I feel that as a “media” member, it’s my responsibility to share with you everything about the big game – not just the same old tired items that the mainstream is delivering.  So without further ado, here is a countdown of the five stories that you need to know – in order of just how deep you’ll have to dig to gain any information on them:
