Last week, I was on vacation and didn’t post a Lucky Seven. That’s probably a good thing because if you follow me on twitter, you’ll know I went 1-6.
I’m now playing only for the week-high bonuses in my contest, which means I’m going with an even uglier card than normal. Follow at your own peril, I don’t even know what times these games are on. Just know that I’m due for a big week.
Rivalry game, typically close, home team. Why not?
Denard Robinson is due for a monster game. Sparty really struggles on offense.
Texas Tech letdown spot. TCU is undefeated when their QB doesn’t get a DUI the week of the game.
Texas A&M +3.5
I haven’t seen anyone who doesn’t have LSU as their lock of the week/year/decade in this game. Johnny Manziell (aka “Johnny Football”) will pass the biggest test of his short career.
I live Steve Spurrier, but he still doesn’t strike me as a good close game coach. I have absolutely no evidence to support this assumption.
Penn State +3
Iowa has owned Penn State in the last eight or so years – even when they had inferior talent. But things have changes in Happy Valley. They have names on their jerseys, and Matt McGloin isn’t only a competent QB but a good one.
Western Kentucky -3
Everyone likes UL-Monroe because they handled the SEC well. But the Hilltoppers have played quite well too. I’ll take the home team. The crowd of what I can only expect to be a full 12,500 people will be in full throat.
